  1. I'd like some opinions about this please.
For 15 years I've been fight a losing battle with chronic severe back
pain that all the doctors have told me is arthritis and all the
arthritis medicine I've ever taken in my life has never made my back
feel even a little bit better. Aspirin helps more than anything. When I
had to take a colonoscopy a few months ago I had to drink some stuff to
clean me out first and it seemed to make my back feel better so one day
when I was in so much pain nothing seemed to help I decided to drink
salt water because that stuff tasted salty and helped ease the pain and
I was ready to try anything and the salt water helped.

I told my nutritionalist about it and she said salt is an electrolyte
that helps electricity flow through the body.

It helps a lot but not not 100% but when pain medicine won't do it
    alone this does help.

What do you think about it? Maybe it can help you feel better. Maybe
I'm in so much pain I'm just dreaming and wishing it helps.

  2. Salt to tast in unprocessed food shouldn't present a problem to anyone
with normal BP, etc., but I'd advise you use Celtic Sea salt. Look it
up on the internet for more information about it.

I had back pain for years. It turned out I had severe osteoporois
(male, age 40), so you should get tested for that. I took calcium
citrate and butter for it, and I only have a little pain now and then,
not constantly, as it used to be. I have degerative discs too, so I'm
surprised I'm feeling as well as I am (back-wise). Be sure to get
enough vitamin D and magnesium as well.

The other thing you can do is cut out unsaturated fatty acids in your
diet, except in very small amounts. What's probably causing you the
pain, unless you really have the problems I had, is
the metabolite of arachidonic acid. Everyone knows this, but many
"experts" are saying to take fish oil, which does counteract the AA
metabolite temporarily, but I've seen studies that found fish oil
takers to be in worse shape than the control group after several
months. If you stop using the highly unsaturated oils (corn, soy,
canola, safflower, sunflower, flax, vegetable, peanut, etc.), and
instead use coconut oil or better, you should see improvement, but it
may take a while (it takes between 2 and 3 years to get the AA out of
your body). If you eat a lot of beef, you are going to get a lot of AA
directly (the oils I mentioned get converted to AA in your body, unless
they are used up for energy), and so that's not a good idea either.
Oxidized choleterol may make the situation worse too, as well as excess
    iron consumption.

I'm currently writing a book that will have a diet and recipe section.
I'll post some of the info. here when it's published. If anyone wants
a copy, it will be sold at cost - no profit to me.

  3. Been there done that.

I went to a Naturopathic Doctor that was quite high-tech a few years back
after two or three other ones and 10 years of massage, doctors, rheumatism
    diagnosis...etc...etc.
After some tests the ND says "You have a pH problem"

I went on the Blood Type O diet at her recommendation and was given some
advise about green fruit and acid producing foods etc. along with a bottle
of "Alka-caps". These capsules were about 60% sodium bi-carbonate and 40%
potassium bi-carbonate (yup, baking sodas) I was to take these at 10 am and
4 pm each day and told time was important.

After a few weeks the pains were tolerable and basically stopped. Night
cramps, cramps in anything that moved all stopped. After about two months I
had a breakthrough. AS a person studying many martial arts throughout my
life my muscles and joints all as tight as a guitar string and would never
let go even after stretching for 5 years in each sport. Suddenly I could put
my leg up on the kitchen counter, straighten my knee and lay my chest flat
on my leg, for the first time in my life. I had become pliable like a baby
again. At 49 years old I could put my ankle behind my head with no pain.

Try this. Take about 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda each day at 4 pm for a few
weeks and see what it does for you. Aldo try vegetable juicing about 3 times
per week. It is very alkalizing for your body. I use mostly carrots with
half a ring of Spanish onion and a big squirt of real lemon juice. No spices
    required.

pH levels are being related to almost all disease in the last few years. The
acidic people are the ones that contract the diseases mainly.

Warning: This continuous sodium intake may produce long term unbalances not
    desired.

    Best of luck!

The main ingredient in bowel cleansers is Magnesium......

Try taking a good daily Cal/Mag/Phos supplement, and a separate trace
    mineral supplement.

I once read in Mindel's that copper was good for chronic sciatic pain. I
used to suffer badly from it and not even a brief prednisone treatment
worked for it! Large, regular doses of Ibuprofen was the only thing that
worked and that's very hard on my stomach. :-P

I started taking trace minerals and the pain lessened quickly, and was
gone in two weeks. It only returns if I don't take my trace minerals and
get lazy about taking my macro-minerals for a couple of weeks. The pain
goes away within days when I start taking those supplements again.

A trace mineral supplement (I use "nature's plus" brand) is safer than
    supplementing copper by itself.

Hmm.. I would say its most probably a placebo effect type of thing.. but
hey.. if it helps you, great!

My first ex wife could put both ankles behind her head. I have some
good memories of her. Thanks for helping me recall that.
