  1. I've strained one of the ligaments in my right elbow (arm out straight in
front of me, forearm pointing up, the ligament is the one on the upper/outer
side of the joint), I not entirely sure how, but figure it is through
overtraining; upshot is I cannot curl using that arm, or do pull-ups, or
anything else that puts that ligament under tension.

Has anyone else ever damged this, and if so, how did you treat it? I'm more
interested in whether you still trained that area, using very light weights,
    or left off it completely?
    TIA

Prevention, Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation, Modification.

Right now you should plan on icing it for fifteen minutes or so three
times a day. Ibuprofin might help, too. Rest that elbow but continue
to do training that doesn't involve the elbow. Modify it and use this
as a time to focus on some cross-training. Perhaps swimming or
    bicycling or running?

I'm not a doctor. I don't even go to doctors for these things. I just
ice them and rest them. I figure "God heals and doctors send the bill."
But I'm widely acknowledged to be an idiotic crackpot, so take this
    for what its worth.

See if you can place it under tension while it's straight - you might be
able to do bar hangs for time, pinch grip work, etc., even if you can't
bend it under load. These things would be a way to keep it in some sort
of shape while it recovers. Gripper training is another thing to try.

I just looked at this again and realized I had given you the wrong
PRICEM. For a new injury the P stands for "protection", i.e., padding
it or putting it in a sling. The "M" stands for "medication" or
    "modalities", i.e., treatment methods.

Once it becomes a long-term thing I changed the formula to help me live
with a body that frequently gets tendonitis.

  5. You sound gay and should not be in a gym.

Sounds like an injury I'm still getting over. I think I did it with DB
swings, probably with poor form. I iced for a while, quit the swings,
lightened up on other exercises that seemed to aggravate it for a while.
    It's slowly getting better.
