  1. Can anyone seriously claim that theyre performing adequate Ebike Safety Checks and Maintenance without some form of standardized, industry-recognized certification?

    It appears theres an abundance of self-proclaimed experts on this forum who are more than happy to share their two cents on the topic, yet when it comes to actual credentials, the room falls silent.

    Are we to assume that every e-bike owner is mechanically inclined and has an intimate understanding of electrical systems?

    Or are we still stuck in the dark ages, relying on google schooling and YouTube tutorials to troubleshoot complex issues with potentially catastrophic consequences?

    Its alarming to think that some of these individuals may be trusted with the lives of others, whether it be their children, spouses, or friends, all while riding a machine thats been cobbled together with spare parts and good intentions.

    This isnt a game, folks. When we talk about e-bike safety, were talking about peoples lives. Were talking about the well-being of innocent bystanders who may find themselves in the crosshairs of a mechanical failure.

    So, Ill ask the question: What constitutes an adequate e-bike safety check? Who among us has the requisite knowledge and training to ensure these machines are running at a safe and optimal level?

    And most importantly, whats being done to address the glaring lack of industry standards and regulation in this space?
