I see road bike scams all the time on Ebay. I report every one of them
and Ebay investigates and removes them pretty quick. I think we have a
pretty tight group of cyclists looking out for one another over on
Ebay.

amps listings......fake Plexi's selling for thousands...if it's too
good it probably is a duck!

Fakes high end watches are also there in abundance. Some are easy to spot,
others are not. The phrase that should raise red flags right away is,
I got this at an estate sale and it came with no papers.

There are counterfeits in every category... anything from a top designer or
manufacturer should come with some type of authentification. Designer purses
and watches, for example, come with authentification cards. If it's new and
doesn't have the authentification card, there is a good possibility that it
is counterfeit.

As long as eBay isn't being held legally liable for the fraud that is
committed every minute of every day on its site, it will do nothing more
than it absolutely has to to combat it.

Meanwhile, my framebuilder is waiting for someone to start selling
counterfeits of his frames on eBay.... then he knows he has "arrived".
