The first one I had on the Brom disintegrated around the bayonet fitting. Replaced FOC and I've had
no troubles with its replacement at all. Perhaps a bad batch?

I've had the catch that holds the bayonet mounting closed snap off on 2 of the round Lumotecs. This
resulted in the front falling off on a bumpy road. I found the lamp unit, but not the bulb or
spring. No problems with the Oval.
