Dual control brake/shifters

Well if you get the combo you can't change-out just your brake levers or
just your shifters. This would make upgrading a major hassle. If you crash
and break the component then you have no brake or shifter. I think the only
pro might be a cleaner look and a more compact handlebar.

The most glowing praise I've heard from people[1] who use them is 'you get
used to them'. They seem completely wrong to me for several reasons but
the XTR version looks fairly tidy.

[1] Usually people who don't pay for their bikes but are told what to use.

I did have a pair of DC lever for a very brief while and I decided that
anything that you have to work at to get used to is fundamentally flawed.

But then, I still miss having XT thumbies :-)
