Since he won 5 in a row, many believe he uses, like most everyone else. But
knowing that, he will have to stay clean, because they have new sensitive
testing chemestry, that means he will loose this time.
The Book publisher has sworn statements and photographs and will publish
anyway.

Art Bell (and others) can produce sworn statements that certain
individuals have been abducted by aliens, have had sex with bigfoot,
that Lincoln rose from the grave and assassinated John Kennedy from the
grassy knoll, etc. - so tell me what good are sworn statements. Without
physical evidence, sworn statements are meaningless. The evidence
against is not that LA has never tested positive, but that samples of
his that were tested a year later using more sensitive test were
negative, that numerous investigations by the French (looking at
physical evidence, etc.) have not discovered any wrong doing, and that
any number of cyclist that have been caught that never tested positive
have been caught with less scrutiny such as Rumas, Virenque, etc. Does
this prove LA has not juiced, no, but it does provide substantial
evidence that he has not. When sworn statements can either lead to or
corroborate physical evidence of drug use, they they have merit, when
they simply fill out a book, then they their to sell books. Until such
time I will focus on the discussion about those who claim to have
invented time machines or the guy who recently argued that reptoids
inhabit the inner earth - and more importantly are responsible for most
of the UFO sightings (you can get pictures and sworn statements from him
also).

Walsh himself admits he proves nothing. So if the info was as strong as
he (and others claim) then he could actually prove something. All Walsh
has done is find a way to line his pockets with some gold for the time
being.

have changed how they test, so LA will be off the juice
and lose, retire. LAs former Dr. is being investigated for

I hate to say it but I'm fed up with this charade parade. To me, Armstrong
looks like a frankenstein athlete with his super-muscular frog legs and his
attempt to stage the Tour into looking halfway fair by trying to hide his
superhuman strength and endurance up to the last minute.I don't know how
many growth hormones, steroids, blood manipulating pharmaceuticals &
oxygen-poor altitude tents it took him to get where he is now but I am not
buying his "willpower, that's all" statements, it has simply gone over the
top this time (literally). Maybe there is no proof, maybe the doping control
hasn't caught up with his clever schemes yet but give me a break, take a
look at the his legs... I've never seen leg muscles like that in cycling
before. It's no wonder the average speed didn't go down with him setting the
pace. I guess he managed to stay ahead of the doping control too...

I heard they're developing a reliable test for HGH and that they're
optimistic when it comes to other tests, like testing for DNA doping (wonder
how they do that). Still, I'm afraid the damage is done when it comes to the
Tour, shame.

And no, I'm not French (they can be too "grand" for me too LOL). I don't
have a problem with americans, in fact I would like to see an American team
win the tour, just not USP, not this *way*. Sorry USP/Armstrong fans, I just

this years Tour. I hope it doesn't hurt the cancer cause if he gets
blown....

Well that sounds interesting with a new team and a new profile. It'd be nice
to see some new teams and some new faces. Do you think Lance will go for the
Tour again or focus on something else, like the hour record? The hour record

Will be interesting seeing LA and the carry-over teammates in completely
new uniforms next year. Implicit message: Teams are bought and sold
(through sponsorship), just like other commodities. Money, not just glory,
makes the wheels go around. But then, the riders are already rolling
billboards, as has been observed elsewhere.

What is the history of the sponsorship of US teams? LA used to ride for
Motorola, no? That arrangement is history. When, for that matter, did USPS
pick up the team?

OTOH, it's hard to imagine US teams sponsored by hearing-aid mfrs
(Phonak), makers of coffee machines (Saeco), biotech (RAGT), banks. Hey,
maybe there should be a Microsoft team! -- they've certainly got the $$.
Maybe it would help their image in Europe. OTOH it could hurt the team...

They are not the same team. USPS grew out of another team --
Montgomery-Bell/ Subaru Montgomery.
