B. Davis said:You know the average human male has 9 lbs of impacted fecal matter in
his colon -
Also if you give up Milk it is said you will loose 9 lbs of mucous..
Honey, with what you've been posting the past couple of days, you've
been reading waaaaaaaay to much alt-quackery-nonsense marketing.
Next you'll tell us that [John Wayne/Elvis/insert dead celebrity]
had [20/30/40/50/60] pounds of feces at autopsy. The amount seems
to get larger every time a colon-cleanse site puts it on his website.
Impacted? Not if you're defecating on a normal schedule -- normal
elimination being defined as anywhere from 3 times a day to 3 times
a week, according to assorted medical gastrolenterology sites.
(I've posted quotes and links from several before)
Of course, lots of colon cleanse sellers claim if you're not going
at least 3 times a day, something's wrong, but they're more full of
[censored] that you are likely to be. If you aren't severely constipated,
your feces ain't impacted.
Colon-cleanser claims are utter [censored], and "build-up" of
"encrusted feces" or "mucous" in the colon is not known to be found
in colonoscopy, surgery, or autopsy. A colonoscopy-prep solution
for $5 or less renders the colon observably quite pink and clean,
moreso than any "natural" colon-cleanse product or colonic irrigation,
if for some reason you've convinced yourself you need this, despite
the known medical fact that the colon is a self-cleaning organ.
Meanwhile the ropes of goop that come out after various colon
"cleanses" that are claimed to be this "mucous" are really the goop of
the large amount of psyllium "cleanser" that went in. Apparently all
the folks who've swallowed the lie that they're cleansing mucous never
let a glass of Metamucil stand until it turned to a gelatinous mass.
It doesn't help that a lot of cleanse sites tell you that the goop
isn't psyllium and lie that psyllium would produce something "light
and fluffy" if you didn't have this fictional mucous.
Mixing psyllium with bentonite (powdered clay) is very popular with
colon cleanse nuts. This solution produces a rope of goop that is
basically a gel-and-clay cast of your colon. Too much bentonite,
and not enough water, and you may actually need surgery to remove an
impacted "cleanse."
If you're thinking about colonic "irrigation," you should know that
it sometimes causes perforation of the intestine, requiring emergency
surgery.
