  1. I was watching the final stage with my neighbour and he seemed to think that
was the wrong thing to say for an athelete.

    Bollocks to him.

I merely explained that since the time Lance announced his retirement, he's
been planning on what need to be done to win a 7th tour, not what to do
after. That comment was just a way of saying that.

    And/or he likes beer.

    Shiner and burritos.

  3. Lance literally weighed every single morsel of food he ate. He had his
diet approved by nurtricionists. He was afraid to eat anything or
anywhere a normal person might because all it took to lose his career
was 2 lbs more than he absolutely needed or a stomach problem in the
    middle of a race.

The very first thing on his mind will have to be Shinier Bock and
    Burritos.

Actually many athletes who change to a healthier lifestyle don't really
miss the food and drink they used to consume. Personally for example,
attempting to eat fatty greasy meat such as for example in hamburgers
    makes me feel distinctly ill.

I don't think the point was "healthy" vs "junk" food. I think the issue
was to eat something that hadn't been weighed, something that wasn't on
a short list of "safe" foods guaranteed not to cause digestive problems,
etc. - to eat whatever came to mind without having to think it through,
just once. Freedom from a seriously constrained diet.

    Dumbass -

I don't know that Masters Fatties qualify as athletes.

    thanks,

    K. Gringioni.
