Yep, full Cro-Mo, about 8" - 9" of suspension, almost indestructable. A real heavy metal beast.

Either he can spin quite fast or he will be carrying
lots of replacement brake pads...

He could also fit brakes and just lift his feet off the
pedals.. oh the torture.. imagine getting tired and
dropping your feet..

Or, he could have a different gear for every uphill

me thinks Thorn do a 'double-sided SS, having a different sized sproket either side of the hub so you can choose between the 2 by rotating the rear wheel. Sheldon Brown has done one too (but then again is there anything he hasnt?)

As for the dropping feet into spinning cranks/pedals
it could work really cool if you put 'sweeper' bars on and just
'put your feet up'

Yeah, there's quite a range of "flip-flop" hubs out there.
Most are for bmx use though I think. The coolest one I
know of is the White Industries "ENO" hub which is a
SS freewheel on one side and a fixed gear hub on the
other. Sheldon probably has a few of the dual freewheel
hubs for sale...

I don't own one, but I have ridden a C50 with full 2004
Record, including carbon cranks, courtesy of a friend
who has one. Quite nice :-) It doesn't feel as sharp as
my Scapin.
