    | The Andrew B. Chung, MD/PhD FAQ |
    | Version 3.40, February, 2004 |
    ---------------------------------

    Introduction
    ------------
New people arriving in sci.med.cardiology (s.m.c.) are often puzzled and troubled by the vitriol
directed at Dr. Andrew B. Chung, MD/PhD
(Dr. Chung) and want to better understand the reasons for the hatred that some folks have for him.
This FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) does provide some truthful answers (there are versions of
this FAQ put out by detractors that are useful only for comparison purposes). All answers given
herein can be independently verified either via Google or by using the third-party resources at
heartmdphd.comprofile.asp. This FAQ has been posted in a manner that permits
authentication. The veracity of both the posting email address and domain name can be
    independently confirmed via Google.

The FAQ is arranged in typical FAQ form, i.e. a series of questions followed by simple answers. For
those who don't wish to read the whole FAQ, the following summary is provided.

    Summary
    -------
Ds. Chung is a well-respected licensed cardiologist, who is board-certified in internal medicine and
cardiology (cardiovascular medicine). In this capacity, he responds truthfully to medical
questions on s.m.c. He does this out of sincere altruism when he has spare time outside his
private cardiology practice, where he sees patients as a cardiologist. If that was all he were,
there would probably be no controversy.

The controversy arises from Dr. Chung being Christian, in particular:

o He continues to publicly profess that Christ is his Lord and Savior.

o He freely helps people to lose weight in an altruistic Christian fashion
    (heartmdphd.comwtloss.asp).

o When attacked on the above issues, he turns the other cheek in a Christian manner.

o When challenged about his faith in Christ, he witnesses steadfastly without hatred.

o When insulted for his faith in Christ, he openly calls it a blessing.

o He remains truthful, as a servant of Christ, despite being libeled and defamed
    (heartmdphd.comlibel.asp).

o Other Christians have affirmed Dr. Chung's strong faith in Christ.

The above lists only the highlights of Dr. Chung's Christian behavior on s.m.c. If anything, it
understates it. Everything can be verified in the Google archives. He witnesses to all at
    heartmdphd.comhealer.asp.

People arrive in this group looking for help. Dr. Chung has graciously provided this over several
years (makeashorterlink.commakeashorterlink.com). Dr. Chung consistently demonstrates the breadth of
his knowledge and experience. This is archived many times over in Google.

general. Note what he writes here:

That shorter link leads to this post: "Yea, Dr. Chung. Right. You loved me so much that you called
the Cobb County Police and falsely accused me of harassing you and stalking you. Let's see - there
was the call to your office where I asked your receptionist if you were on staff at St. Joseph's
Hospital or any other Atlanta area hospitals. She said that she didn't know. I thanked her and
hung up the phone. Took fifteen seconds. Maybe twenty. THAT was the telephone harassment you
accused me of. And then there was the e-mail harassment. You remember, don't you? The three e-
mails I sent? Two in which I invited you to lunch so that we could discuss our differences ... and
one in which I told you I felt no ill will towards you and asked that we make an effort not to be
    hurtful to one another."

Stephen not only didn't admit he was a stalker, which he clearly is not, he denied it. Chung asserts
the opposite of the reality. That's why Chung is a liar. Because he lies.

    Dear Carol:

If you're going to quote me, quote ME. I didn't write those words. But what could be wrong with
those sentiments? Why don't you lecture everyone who says things not in keeping with that spirit?
Or, better yet, lecture no one.

I pray that you'll stop your endless empty prattling. Perhaps it would be good if you prayed in the
closet, as Jesus suggested, rather than out here on the street.

You've already indicated that you disapprove of my actions. It doesn't matter to me what you think.
Interesting that you feel free to judge.

You've demonstrated a rather unattractive willingness to side with anyone who mouths the same sorts
of empty platitudes you do. You accept malice and spite, you accept dishonesty from fake Christians
who merely speak their religion rather than living it.

    Carol -

Those words - a request to Dr. Chung that he and I make an effort not to be hurtful to one another -
    were my words, not Bob's.

Dr. Chung, I am sad to say, ignored my request and responded by filing a false report against me
    with the local police.

In supporting Dr. Chung, Carol, you are supporting an unrepentant sinner.

So, Carol, I now say the following to you: Please don't let Satan use you like this? I pray that you
can rise above these thoughts and feelings and be well in your mind and Spirit.

Let's see if I have this right... good sentiments about how to act in a loving and respectful
fashion can be spread for evil purposes? Are you insane? How, then, can anyone know if all that
biblical quotation and pointy-nosed lecturing isn't for evil purposes? Go away with this shallow
[censored], Carol. Your excusing the frauds reaches new lows here.

I've posted what I have about Chung, Mu, "John" and the other fakers because it's right to point out
deceit. It's right to point out fraud. It's right to point out quackery. It's right, not evil. I'm
pointing out evil. You're pointing out that you don't like your fellow fake Christians to have their
threadbare cloaks spotlighted. Pity you can't be honest about this.

I don't happen to share your version of what impels me. I don't happen to share your version of
where true evil lies. I share very little with you, most particularly that you have any insights
that are of any value. You see only the surface of things.

And perhaps it's [censored] sanctimony. But it still violates that injunction that Jesus left for all.

In The case of the frauds you wish to defend and excuse, it's for love of self and condescension
towards others that they post. YOu seem to be falling into the same pit. They can create fraudulent
accusations and innuendoes and you let it go. They can deliberately post fighting words and you let
it go. Chung can post his FAQ and you let it go. Mu can attack people with clear, hurtful intent and
you let it go. "John" can post an apologia for Chung' diet that's obviously illogical and
diversionary and you let it go.

But if anyone posts anything that points out their modus operandi or their obvious desired mean-
spirited intent, here you are, jumping to their rescue with your sweeping phrases, full of sound and
fury, empty of any trace of the message of Jesus.

You're only too happy to spout your frothy nonsense at me but are all-too-obviously unwilling to
castigate your fellow whited sepulchers. No indication that you believe that the madness and
viciousness of Chung is directed by "who is manipulating" him.

Carol you're either a total fraud or a sadly deceived sucker. You can forgive me for believing that

forgive me for seeing "John" try to dissemble his way out of the traps he puts himself into? You can

Puhleeze. More churchly gibberish. It's really easier than all that. It finally comes down to being
honest and not doing malicious stuff. The rest is all these platitudes and quotations out of context
that advance only the egotism of the quoter.

Oh, peddle it somewhere else. God lives by God's ways. Mankind can't even understand them, much less
    emulate them or observe them.

Look in the mirror. To believe that you aren't subject to the same injunction is to believe yourself
better than everybody else, somehow above the message of humility because you can spew these self-
excusing pseudo-biblical phrases. The evidence is to the contrary. Carol, I had you in my killfile
for a while for all the reasons your behavior merits. I took you back out. That was a mistake. You
serve only to obscure the evil and puff it up with your hollow defenses and shabby attacks on those
who cast it from the temple steps.
