I would never ever try something that a spammer posted to a
newsgroup. So no, haven't tried it. But googling "offr.biz" makes
me even less likely to do so, even if I found it some other way.

I wouldn't even consider clicking a spam/tracking link like that.

If you use Firefox give the "Forecastfox enhanced" add on a try. It
really does what the spammer claims theirs does without "extra features".

Thanks for the pointer, I'll look at it again.... OK, can't install
due to invalid file hash (possible download corruption) whatever that
    is.

I should just put weather.com on my toolbar.

    thanks anyway!

It was posted by a spammer. You can be sure it is loaded with all sorts of
[censored] putting its hooks into your system. Avoid it.

    my unit.

LOL..that's the hint to NOT click on links by strangers posted just
anyplace. Just be glad you weren't on a computer. The damage potential
is much greater than on a webtv, I imagine?

If you want a fairly good, reliable one go to:

It's wants you to reboot so it can finish installing the spyware
    hooks into the operating system.

I keep forgetting that I have "noscripts" installed and I have to
manually say "yes"..... if that's what you mean.
