Somewhere, sometime ago, I remember seeing a special inner ring for a double
chainset that allowed the fitment of an even smaller inner ring. Converting
the original double to a triple.
Anyone point me in the right direction please?

Anyone point me in the right direction please?Peter White Cycles also lists the Tripleizer. And maybe Rivendell
still carries them. -
here are your choices in triplizers :

I helped to create this web page by collecting together most of the
pictures.Jim Merz no longer makes chainrings but actually he is considering the
thought of making some 31T campagnolo 100 bcd chainrings for campy
triples. email me for details. There is also a possibility to drill extra holes in your spider.
Several drilling jigs exist for square-taper spiders. You people with
octalink spiders : sorry, charlie - you're bleeding edge technology is
not supported!! for information and people who have jigs for drilling
out your spider see the archives at www.bikelist.org.- Don Gillies
