Well, that's painting with a pretty broad brush. For example, look at Minor Threat (from DC).
Those guys were at the forefront of the 'straight-edge' deal (no drinking, no drugs) and
their shows are renowned for being powerful and generally incredible. On the other hand,
another band from the same era and basic locale, the Bad Brains, were equally strong
performers, but those guys smoked tons of pot.

Well, I think it can be easy to dismiss something as lame if you didn't see it during its heyday.
It can lack the context of its proper timeframe. But if it rocks like Minor Threat or the Bad
Brains, it oughta be fairly timeless. (There is a DVD of some MT shows, btw.)

Hey! Give a girl a break here - plenty of women have problems with unwanted facial hair without taking androgens - that's why there's a product called Vaniqa. And no, I don't ride for Red 5 Racing/Vaniqa.

enhancing or not.

For example, I don't think I could handle the stimulus of playing a video game for a week.

if it's envy over my ability to handle the flashing lights and noisy sound effects, then stop. this
is a game where you just calmly walk around and look at stuff. i haven't been to a movie theater for
years because it's too dark and too loud and too big and too full and too bright. also, the sport i
watch because i like it is bicycle racing, considered by those who have never bothered to actually
watch to be as exciting as growing one's hair.

adding- i even found last year's women's wc road race exciting. it's easy to exceed my stimulus
