Gooden and Strawberry liked the blow. So what? Just like Ullrich
getting busted for amphetamines (or extasy?) in the off season, those
positives were ridiculous from a sporting perspective. Drug testing
of athletes should be about determining whether or not they're
cheating, not about how they choose to recreate.

For guys who are cheating (i.e., taking performance enhancing drugs)
the penalties should be severe and career ending. Testing for
non-performance enhancing substances should be abandoned, as its a
waste of time and resources.

A $100,000 fine is no joke no matter how much money you make. That's some
serious cash. David Millar was only fined 2000 Swiss francs...

Professional baseball has NO drug testing in the major leagues. Minor league
players are tested and subject to penalties for positive tests.

You are trying to draw moral lines where there are none. Besides cocaine can be
used very effectively as a performance enhancer. One of the few stimulants that
don't mess up the reaction time.
