Mark their posts as read instead by creating rules that run automatically when you download new messages. When killfiling somebody their posts will pop up in replies without making any sense. If you mark them as read you won't have to read them and replies will make sense. However most of the time trolls reply to trolls so probably the whole thread will be marked as read 😉 I just recently learned this in another group and it works really well.
In Outlook Express - Mark a message from the person you're fed up with. - On the main menu above click Message / Create rule from Message - Continue to create a rule that marks all messages as read from this person.
This will automatically mark all messages from the trolls as read and you wont have to bother with them, at the same time as the answers will make sense.
On the next level you can use this rule to highlight a message, from a person you want to read, in a different color. This will make it real easy to browse through long threads and pick out the goodies, while ignoring the trolls.

That's good advice Per. Only problem is that once you filter out the trolls, there are precious few goodies left.

Yea I know 😉 In this group it's only my own posts that aren't marked as read ;( Kidding aside. There are some marked in highlighted colors. Those are the people that give interesting advice at least once in a while 😉 There are a few left, but a lot harder to find than when I first ran across this group about a year ago.

Yes it's almost like a different group. (Good idea about the highlighting)

I have all kinds of lamers killfiled and the things I care to read still make perfect sense.
Why do you feel the need to tell other people how to read the group? What business is it of yours?
