They are expensive because they use only the finest soft drink cans.

  2. No, because I'm too lazy and I don't really like my helmet. I've been
meaning to buy a skater style helmet for a while now, but never got
    around.

I have to go to another city to get it.

  6. For what?

Any answer is only as meaningful as the question. If I say yes, maybe
it's only for riding my motorcycle. Could you be more specific please?
It usually helps to leave out the poll function. That always seems to
make people ask questions and only offer a few answers.

  7. If I am riding MUni or like Joe said "above my skill level" then I will
definately have head protection. Most of my riding is around campus to
get to and from classes, so no helmet really needed there.

  12. I always wear it, it saved my live once.
I fel from the top of 10 pallets on top of another pallet and hit my
    head hard on the ground.
It didn't hurt my head but my rib was bruised.

  15. Ignoring my own request...Oh well...

    I ALWAYS wear a helmet.

I can't predict or plan when I'm going to have an accident or who/what
specifically will cause the accident. I may have no control over its'
occurrence. I personally feel that the potential risk is not worth the
    potential outcome.

That said, wearing a helmet does not mean that I won't get hurt.

I couldn't agree with you more ahollow. I always wear a helmet
regardless of where i am or what skill level i am. Even if the road was
perfectly flat, i would still wear my helmet.

  18. Especially since I commute on my uni, can't control when the cars are
going to do something stupid. About two months ago three cyclists were
killed, within 20 days, all at fault of the driver and only one cyclist
wore a helmet (a recycling truck drove, from a stoplight over her with
both sets of wheels before stopping. She died of internal injuries,
    her head was fine).

I've fallen sometimes on the easiest terrain.

Bones can be fixed, your brain can't.

  20. I'll vote yes in your poll but...

Other than a motorcycle helmet, I didn't even own a cycling helmet
    until 1993.

For Uni I wear a helmet for almost all MUni and Trials. For Coker most
the time and always when interacting with traffic. I don't wear a
helmet for gym, freestyle, or most neighborhood riding.

For Bike I almost always wear a helmet and always when in traffic.

For Skiing/Boarding I almost always wear a helmet, especially for
    steeps and fast.

I don't wear a helmet to jog, run, throw frisbee, play soccer, play
softball, etc. Many of which are much more hazardous and have a higher
probablity of falling to the ground than uni riding.
