  1. Each time I eat a fist full of raw pumpkin seeds
(purchased from a local health food store's bulk bin), I
get a mild to medium heartburn appoximately an hour or two
later. Have others experienced this symptom? Do pumpkin
seeds have a particular quality that can cause this? The
heartburn is similar to that caused by eating various
    beans including soybeans.

  2. Maybe they are not going down all the way or are sticking to
your esophagus. Like peanut butter. That sort of thing
happens to me frequently when I eat beans too.

It helps to eat something like lettuce afterwards.

  4. Found this post from 2000/05/09: "Pumpkin seed might even
kill the parasites in your intestine. I tried one morning :
about 200 g, empty stomach. I did not know what it killed,
but I had diarrea 3 days in a row".

  5. From 1998/12/09: "There are seeds that also turn my stomach,
    especially pumpkin."

  6. I doubt this is true for most people. It isn't true for me.
Granted I'd have something else with my seeds such as a
glass of milk, a cup of decaf, a glass of buttermilk, a
    sandwich, etc.
