  1. I just left a local cat 4 team I've been riding for for two seasons. I was planning on keeping the kit, which we got for free, and training with it because it's still in decent shape (though definitely worn). Now the team manager guy is asking for it back. I'd of course rather keep it, and don't really see why he'd be so interested in taking back a worn out team kit.

This is probably a common happening within cycling, so I am wondering what others have done or would do in this situation?

  2. That is weird. Returning two year old, used and worn kit?

Never happened to me. I take it you parted ways with your team less than amicably?

Not on any bad terms, I just left. I have no plans for any other team like I told them, I just wanted to ride solo for a while.

If they gave it to you then they gave it to you. Unless you agreed beforehand to give it back if you left the team, tell them to bugger off.

    And, no, it's not common.

  5. Yup, I think the team manager didn't take it too well and is being, well... a bonehead. Keep it. Or take a 6 hour hard ride and return the kit to him... unwashed.

  6. I never raced with a team, only as a sponsored solo. What articles of clothing make up the "team kit" other than the jersey?

The clothing with the team sponsors logos on it.
