It's a bit too hilly in San Diego for a single chainring bike,
but I was wondering if someone in Florida, Kansas or the Central
Valley of CA has noticed riders on the Bianchi Castro Valley, either
as commuters/transportational cyclists or on group rides, charity
rides, etc.
Thanks in advance for your replies!

It seems that we get, on occasion, a rider planning on doing a cross-country
trip on something like a Specialized Allez or racing bike. In that case, we
recommend the Castro Valley, and there's always initial interest, but they
seem to waver and lose their interest.
With its 42x11-26 gearing, it's plenty enough for Florida terrain, and the
integrated lights and dynamo hub, it's really a stand-out package. But
people riding bikes around in college town here in Gainesville are poor
students and can't afford the $850 retail price.
Hopefully we'll sell the one we have in stock this year 😉
