  1. I DL conventional, and am plagued by my ass rising before the bar
leading to a *sic* sweet round back DL. My form is better doing lifts
standing on plates than on the ground.

Any ideas of things I can touch up?

Not looking for major form changes (yet), but I've heard that if your
ass comes up, it might have to do with weak hamstrings, although this is
here-say, and I don't know a biomechanical reason for it.

GMs, GHR, leg curls, pull-throughs (no rev. hyper)? All of the above?

I dunno. I've seen some really strong deadlifters who shoot their butt.
    Tom Nichols comes to mind.

So it may not really be a weak point.

But one thing I do is really focus on driving my abs against my belt and
then pushing my feet thru the floor. It might help.

And front squats. They help me keep my ass down.

I agree with Keith - focus on pushing the floor away with your feet.
That takes care of it for many people, me included. Your "problem"
doesn't necessarily indicate a muscular weakness, just form that some
    people might call bad.

-- Probably cause you use less weight when standing on plates.

That's what I've heard. It also takes some lower back strength to keep
    the lower back from rounding.

Pause Squats, GHRs, leg curls and plate drags are some good ones
I've done. Try 1-2 in your squat workout and 1 in your DL workout.

I'd examine your form 1st. Are you leading with your head? Do that, your
shoulders follow, which helps keep your hips down. If your 1st movement is
hips rising, thats a form issue, not a strength issue. Videotape yourself
from the side and check out what is going on.
