Does this diet get you revved up? Could you have anxiety and be breathing
too fast? That would make you light headed. I sometimes get a little light
if I get up too fast when I am on a diet.

This happened last night, and again tonight after eating dinner. I'm
feeling very dizzy almost like the room is spinning, and very light
headed. What is causing this? I do know I'm hypoglycemic, but I
haven't been treating it properly until starting Atkins again.

This is a constant dizziness. I hate it. It's not just upon standing,
in fact, it can start while sitting.

  2. Well if this only happens while on the diet then I suspect it is related.
Maybe increase your carbs a little and see if it helps. You could try a
different diet. Does this happen on day one, day two, day three? When does
it start? If you are okay on day one or even day two you could try a diet I
used to do and lost 50 pounds. I would eat Induction levels for two days
and then eat higher carbs on the third day and repeat. This would keep me
off Ketosis. It is a little harder than Atkins due to you feel a little
more hungry. Or you could do every other day. The weight will come off a
little slower, but who wants to walk around dizzy?

Do you have a blood glucose meter? ($9 plus $22 for strips at Walmart)

Did you test urine for ketones? Going into ketosis can cause odd sensations.

Have have a glucometer-but I can't find the strips for it. It's an
Accucheck Simplicity. I *don't* shop at Walmart, so that cheapy isn't
    an option for me.

I haven't been able to find Ketosticks locally, so I do not test. I
want to, but dh doesn't want me to pay to order them online either.
