Distance/Routes - KM's Calculation

Buy a $20 [less I think] computer from Big W / Kmart. You can get a reasonable one from LBS for $50-$60.

Google Earth allows one to chart a route and then measure its length.

I agree Bikely is great.
Once you have a route, select 'elevation profile' under the show menu to give you an idea of how tough / easy your new route will be.

Albert - I do have a cycle computer, but was looking for a tool/resource that I can use to pre-plan some routes.

Yeah totally agree now. I've been playing around with it - it's exactly what I was looking for - great tool - and even found some other submitted routes that I wanna check out.
