  1. Hello folks.
After years of looking for some decent light weight packable shoes to wear
when after a days walking and to nip to the loo etc a rep came into the shop
today with the new range of Lizard sandals etc and what does he have!!!!
Disposable flip flops, they sell at £10 a pair and are completely flat when
not assembled, weigh bugger all and will last a season or two of being
chucked in the rucksack and night time toilet trips and youth hostel kitchen
times etc.... Guess who's getting a pair when they come in! Woo hoo.

    Ermmm......doesn't that describe most flip-flops? which I wouldn't pay
more than about £5.00 a pair for 😉

I now that page is in German, but it's nearly half the price here.

    ?????

What's wrong with ordinary seaside flipflops at more like a quid a pair?
They don't weigh anything and can be tied to the outside of a rucksack
    without getting damaged.

Really. I want *all* my kit made out of this stuff then.
And if I could get some of Richards flip-flop material that "folds
*completely* flat" I'd never know I had any kit at all
(you don't both work in advertising by any chance? 🙂

Hint: flat does not mean 2-dimensional.

Do you stock any other Lizard footwear? If so, where is your shop 'cos I
like the look of some of their other stuff.

We stock the Creek sandal and the Super Hike (my fave) at the mo'. We had
the rep in and next seasons stuff is fab and we will be getting more in as
    we are dropping Teva.
We are in Aberystwyth http://www.escapeout.co.uk/ The online shop will be
up and running in a week or so although footwear will not be on the site as
we are boot-fitters and believe that you need to try the things on before
buying, unless it's a repeat boot prescription so-to-speak.

The disposables are only a fiver I was miss-informed.

I will have a look for you. Most shoe companies do now.

Thats not my impression. I spend months or years looking for footwear (also
    shirts/trousers/ski boots/jackets etc etc )

We have a pair of Meindl (either Burma or Borneo's) in at size 14 at the
mo'. We do have some huge (and I don't mean fat) people coming into the shop
so we try and keep some XL's and XXls of various things in. If we don't have
it we can get it on special order.

I asked the boss about Lizards and he was sure they do go up to 14's. I will
double check on Tuesday though when I am back in.

We spent the day shooting each other with BB guns yesterday... It's not like
    work.
