Why do you want to put in apostrophe's?
Aha, a classic greengrocers's apostrophe!

Yes, but also use single-quotes for 'special' uses. Use double-quotes for direct quotes only. Paraphrases, e. g., get single-quotes.
But then literacy beyond mere grammar is too much to hope for here on RBT.
The proper use of quotes is not a question of literacy, but of which style guide you follow. Next, you're going to say that 'colour' is unacceptable here as well.
i think you forgot an apostrophe: "That's "son," you cretin." or "That is "son," you cretin."
the comma can be either inside or outside the quotes but i think outside looks *right*.
Certainly more logical, at least to anyone who has ever written code.

(now, did i forget yet another capital or chose not to use it?)
Perhaps it's just a case of low self-esteem?

Use single quotation marks inside doubles.
Bill "as opposed to 'married' ones?" S.
Or double inside of single; that works well, too. -- Typoes are a feature, not a bug. Some gardening required to reply via email. Words processed in a facility that contains nuts.

Yet the Tokyo subway maps don't mention it.
