Dirty and incriminating facts would have come out by now. Are you all saying that with so much money dangled in front of any any OP whistleblowers by the press for a scoop (that is a given) nothing has come out in 9 months?

If you've ever ridden in a paceline / peleton you'd probably conclude that it was Cruz's fault. From what the article says Cruz touched Basso's wheel and fell. In general if you touch wheels and fall you were the one behind - the rider in front ususally rides on fine, and that means you (the rider behind) were 1/2 wheeling or not paying attention and the fall is techincally your fault. Now 1/2 wheeling is pretty hard to avoid in a pack, but unless the person in front pulls a real bozo move, like slamming on the brakes or swerving sharply and it is the riders who are following who have the responsibility to monitor the speed of the pack. In otherwords it sounds like Cruz could have touched anyones wheel and it was his fault that he fell and took out George as he was over eager to acclerate. Basso probably had nothing to do with the accident other that the fact that he was the body/bike ahead. So, slam Cruz all you want (though why do that it was an accident! and they happen), but I don't think you can blame Basso for Hincapie's fall, wether or not you like him or approve of him.

Its refreshing to see someone post that actually knows something about riding a bike in a group. I not saying most of you don't, just saying WBT clearly dosen't.

When Armstrong rode you all clamoured and clap your hands at his marvellous bike handling skills and staying upright... now we all defend Basso and the calamitous Hincapie... I know whom I'd like to be riding behind and it aint Basso and it certainly aint Hincapie.... so which is it ? How great Armstrong is at staying up or empathy for Hincapie and hands of hit man Basso ? Taking a dig at me doesn't anwser the question....

What money? Do you have a link that shows people in OP have been paid for information?

Leaks occur for a lot of reasons. Prosecutors may want to generate publicity to benefit themselves. They may want to counter a P.R. campaign being waged by defendents. People involved in the investigation may feel information is being buried or some people are getting a pass while others are not. There are a hundred different scenarios, but they do not often involve people getting paid.

I bet that something comes out before the Tour. Not only will maximum publicity be generated right before the Tour, that is when reporters will be doing their best to shake the tree.

Did anyone see EuroSport coverage of Pais Vasco today ? Egoi Martinez from Disco rode directly into the motocycle cameraman ! What was he thinking !!!???? took three other riders with him... what a crack !

They seem to be pursuing the CSC type of approach from a few years ago: that is, win as many small races as possible to get the overall team victory, and get some coverage and maybe a new sponsor.
