I have Hayes HFX-9 discs and the front rotor is warped, so I ordered a new one and while trying to remove the warped disc rotor, I severly stripped the heads on 5 of the 6 torx bolts holding the rotor to the inter. disc mount. So, I drilled out the top of the bolt heads and knocked them off and now I have just the bolt bodies sticking out of each end of the holes. I have tried using a pliers to turn them, but with no luck. I am afraid to drill them all the way through to remove them because I don't want to damage the outer threads of the holes. Any idea on how to get these damn bolts out??
well i asked my dad and he said there are things called "easy outs" that work SOMETIMES and that would be your best chance other then having to buy a new hub...sorry to say but it wasn't smart to drill the tops off...
Thanks MB. Yeah, I realize now in hind sight that it was not smart to drill out the heads. I did consult my local hardware store and I did buy the "drill out" kit last night. I basically drill a pilot hole in the existing screws and then use a reverse extractor. I will see if that works. Thanks for your reply...it looks like it will be my best solution.

You HAVE tried a set of self locking pliers, something like Mole grips or Gorilla grips, haven't you?

Ask around for someone with arc welding gear. Place a nut on top of each stub. Have your welding buddy run a bead into each of the nut. Allow to cool and remove bolt body with socket wrench.
