Anything they have to say about anything is directly related to who pays

It didn't used to be that way. Having said that the last magazine I
looked at was Dirt Rag and that was over a year ago. MBA in the USA is
the worst when it comes to the manufacturers and editors being in bed
together.

But I need my bathroom reading material, and the laptop is just too awkward!

Last time I read DR I thought it was pretty good. But it has been a while.

I like Mountain Flyer, which is produced by a friend of mine
(http://www.mountainflyer.com). It's probably more race oriented than
some like, but I think it's impartial and an interesting read. Brian
also takes some great photos for it.

They've got a new secret brew they are working on. I'll be up at the

I like the big, slick, fat UK mtb magazines we find at Barnes and
Noble for about $8. 10x the content of US rags, and seem to be less
advertiser-biased driven.

Can't knock the fact though, that most mags give Titus the No. 1 slot
for best trail bike, and they don't exactly spend a fortune on
advertising, heheh. Some honesty still exists. And I love their
viagra ads...

An aside to you Ventanamaniacs, a gal dropped in on our Barney ride
last week on a Saltamontes, she was covered head to toe in gear,
nothing but her nose showing, practically, even though it was 100degf
out, and she looked kinda goofy, too. But dang! That gal could
ride! Strangest thing, and if you're reading this, no offense
intended Maam, you just surprised us, and whupped up on a couple of
the Barneys. 🙂
