  1. There's all this talk that the only way Lance loses this year is if some
fan takes him out... and I have to say he sure isn't doing his rep any
good this year with most of the crowd. He doesn't wait for the great
Spanish hope on the pave, says he "let" the the young Italian win that
first mountain stage, embarrasses the German champion at the line the
other day followed by an overly-emphatic salute, and even has doping
allegations against him from a great American champion. And the thing
today with Simeoni... just bullying and embarrassing a pro rider for
personal reasons. At least he's been sucking up to the French...

Really -- 90% of the crowd cheering him on. See you next July (2005).

Plenty of people mentioned the possibility that a crazed fan might take him
out... here's one discussion you were a part of:

Is 90% of the crowd American or do you think the Germans, Italians, and
Spanish are all cheering him on too? Also, I read/lurk here year-round, and
if you don't like the thread, stay out of it instead of attacking me please.

  5. Guess if Lance does not let someone else win tomorrow we will have more
whining. Hell, I would like to see someone else win one too. Why don't
the others just go out and out train him. Oh" Yeah, it takes a bit of
    focus and sweat.

Nothing better than a great race with positions being swapped about. I love
that kind of competition. When one excels o such an extent as Lance is
doing it does get a bit boring. Hope in 2005 we have other teams as
dedicated to performance as Lance and US Postal. I know Telcomp, CSC, Saeco
    and others can do it.

I don't really care who wins but the guys doing the winning are the one that
want it most, are not afraid to sweat during the training season and use
their heads as well as the body.

Lance, in an interview I saw today said that after the German fans booed him
, spit on him and after 2 luggies in the face, there was no way he was going
to let Kloden win the stage, can you blame him?
