i wasn't up to messing up my freshly cleaned kitchen. (now if only my
husband could learn how to fold clothes properly, then he'd be perfect!)

tonight we had sauteed zucchinni with shallots, romaine salad with cukes
and tomatoes, prefab chicken tenders and the last few beers left over
from the case of labatt i bought last week.

yesterday we went to a barbecue at a friend's. very good tabbouleh (pine
nuts and mint, yum!) and burgers, but the rest of the fare was sub-par.

sunday I broke down and tried a recipe i saw on rachael ray's show that
    looked good:

was pretty decent. I've always been a fan of fried things with parmesan 🙂

Cooked Sunday and Monday for a 4th cookout and sent all the food home
with the kids...except for the cherry pie. Chinese takeout tonight!

Saturday: road food for lunch--forgetable, Dinner was assorted
vegetables (mom and dad did them) and shrimp remoulade.

Sunday: lunch at Jones Creek Inn. (We were in Baton Rouge) I had a
shrimp po boy, D had crab remoulade salad. Dinner was left overs,
    including shrimp remoulade.

Monday: I grilled a brined chicken (basil, lemon, chiles under the
skin) and served it with a garlic/lemon/cumin/yogurt auce. I aso
grilled a couple of smal pork tender loins and served them with a soy
sauce/chipotle/lime/apricot preserves reduction. Sides were a salad
of cantaloupe, Vidalia onion, habanero, lime juice, cilantro and olive
oil and some greens my dad made.

Tonight we went out. Tired back here in Cow Hill, TX.

Saturday: Roast chicken, herbed red potatoes, green beans

Sunday: Ribs and Corn on the cobb. The corn was utterly flavorless :-(

Monday: Yet another attempt at pizza. Better than previous attemps, but
dough is not my friend :-)
