  1. DH is going to make us fresh waffles, bacon, and eggs fried in a
little olive oil with some garlic, salt, and pepper. Yum! Tomorrow
I'm making fried rice (shrimp & green onion) and wontons stuffed
with cream cheese, more green onion, and a smidge of garlic powder.
I know, some eschew garlic powder, but raw garlic is too sharp and
    I don't like it roasted...

Dontcha' just love breakfast for dinner sometimes? I'm in the mood for
    pancakes. Maybe for dessert 😉

What's wrong with garlic powder? I use it in some recipes. IMO powdered
and granulated spices have a real place in cooking right along with dried
    herbs.

Not so. I just barely tolerate them if served once every couple years. I
just generally don't care for unyeasted sweet 'breads' of any kind.

No.. they do nothing for me. Now waffles on the other hand, I like! I
rarely eat either but will always choose waffles over pancakes.

    I like crepes.

Crepes are good but I seldom make them at home. Do you like savory or
sweet? I had some crabmeat crepe with a white sauce drizzled on top that
were to die for. I had those maybe 3 years ago or so. I don't go in too
    much for the sweet crepes.

Not everyone likes pancakes. I don't like pancakes in the extreme ie:
chocolate chip pancakes etc. I like plain old buttermilk pancakes and I
also like blueberry pancakes. Other than that they don't do much for me. I
suppose when it comes to breakfast foods I like savory.

Not really. I don't like breakfast.

You don't like the meal, or the foods traditionally eaten?
Bacon, lightly basted or over easy eggs, hash browns or American
fries, buttered toast, orange juice (freshly squeezed), breakfast
sausage, sliced avocado (not really traditional, but my family loves
it), halved grapefruits with sugar or Splenda?

Breakfast is my wife's favorite meal. It's not mine, but all of the
    above are pretty nice choices.

My breakfasts are usually fairly simple, a bowl of oatmeal, or an
English Muffin with Peanut butter and maybe juice. But I love to go
out for fancy breakfasts, a place like Brennens,-- something like
that. This doesn't happen very often, which is probably better for my
    figure.

This is kind of strange but when I go out for breakfast I like to order
stuff I normally don't make at home. Country fried steak comes to mind
immediately. Sf mentioned crepes. I would order those for breakfast out.
I'd still have to have eggs and hash browned potatoes.

I like to cheat and use an electric crepe "pan", the kind you dip upside
down into the crepe batter. SO easy and so quick.
