First off..anything is better than mcd's only food. Maybe these idea's
will help you? Chosen not for perfect foods, tho healthier than most
fast food items, but for variety, ease.

instead of mcdonalds for sandwiches have you tried subway? There are
more healthy bread choices there and there are several different half
way decent meats as well as vegies for the sandwich. You might have
some tasty deli's near you also.

You can toss some lemon or lime juice in your waters for a little change
    also.

Why not put the olive oil on your salad? With a lil red wine vinegar
and some garlic (or whatever seasonings and such you like.) added it's
quite tasty. You could mix a little up and bring it with you if your
going to be having one of those mcd's salads.

Do you like yogurt? Plain yogurt in the blender with frozen berries is
very tasty during the hot summer days.

There are margarines which are better than average, if you really have
    an issue with butter.

You know if you eat out often for lunch...I've found the nicer sit down
places are not usually much more expensive than fast food during lunch
hours...so if you have the time..find some yummy places which serve...oh..
thai or something for legumes. Much more tasty than wendy's chili...tho
    tastes differ.

Those are just some ideas. But if you aren't happy with your new way of
eating you most likely won't stick with it. Try different things till
you find what works for you and that you enjoy.

worthless advice. i don't think thai food has legumes. i know nothing
about yogurt. isn't that a milk product. wendy's chili tastes good.
subway is a rip off. i thought we were avoiding breads? i'm chuckling
to myself that i know more than you do. i just ate an avocados.
avocados might be good substitute for sour cream. i finished a 11 km
hike in 2hrs tonight. had some cherries for antioxidants. pretty soon
i will be the person giving advice around here.

Don't insult. The response to your posting was on par with your
    posting. IMO

Yogurt is an obvious milk product, anyone who doesn't admit
    to knowing that is trolling.

if it is milk, then it is bad as far as i know. i got nothing from the
persons posts. i already know that turkey sub is better than
hamburger. except bun is bigger which might not be good. the poster is
smarter than me but that really does not say a heck of alot. i love
smart people who combine a good knowledge of science with good
judgement to make sense of some issues that might be ambiguous. the
funny part is that very few educated people remain unbiased. there are
so many reasons to lose objectivity. the best illustration of this
might be the fact that many scientist turn to religion for answers.
that has to be the ultimate abandonment of logic. i am not a troll.
