I know this isn't really helpful to you, but I thought maybe we could figure
out geographically where they are marketing the stuff - anyway, I saw it
yesterday here in upstate New York.

Well, the first place I saw it near me (NYC area) was at Walmart.
So maybe your Walmart has it?
Sometimes Walmart has grocery items in this area that don't get distributed
in this region via other stores. The difference is most of the food stores
we have here are regional chains. Walmart is one of the few national food
stores here.

It's worth a shot to try Walmart if one is convenient to you.

For the record though, as a Diet Dr Pepper fan, I don't really see the
Cherry Vanilla version as tasting that different from original flavor.

It's here in St. Paul MN. I tried it and it is good. I plan to have
some around on a regular basis.

They have it in St. Louis. I tried it, I thought it was pretty bland.
Not really Dr Pepper, not really cherry, not even really vanilla.

I'll finish the 12 pack, but won't buy any more.

Tried a single bottle out here in the San Francisco Bay Area....Too sweet,
and very little cherry or vanilla.....What I really like is the Diet Lime
Coke (but only in the plastic bottle. Somehow the can *taints* the flavor.)

It's funny you should mention that... I just had diet Cherry Coke yesterday,
after over 3 years of searching. They used to sell it here (Maine) but
stopped near the end of 2001. But, yesterday I was in Wisconsin and it's
sold there. So hopefully you can get a middleman to ship it to you. 🙂
(Also, ditto on the excellence of diet Lime Coke.)
