Paul's not an idiot. He meant they should have included
Evans as another GC threat, not instead of Ullrich but instead
of some other T-Mobilian. Of course, with all the crashes in
the first week, Evans might have broken his collarbone by now.

I begin to wonder about T-Mobile. Unless he mounts an amazing
comeback, Jan's best year against Lance was the year he wasn't
under Godefroot's thumb. Although it has to be said, in 2001
Jan was the second best climber in the Tour.

kloden is a guy who's said to be super talented but is more into partying.

i think he, jan and hans rey hit up the eurodiscos during the rest days.

allegedly he was with ullrich when jan smashed his porsche into the bike rack.

Apologies - I misread your post as alleging that Botero was with Ullrich at
the time. I thought that sounded ridiculous since they weren't on the same
team at the time, but you meant Kloden.

Maybe winning this years Tour of Austria (his second after 2001) may have
counted for something?
