  1. Not long ago (few days) I received my monthly news bulletin
from Doctor David Williams -know as his "Alternatives"
newsletter. I was attracted by this doctor's knowledge by
the fact that a few of the ads I'd received from
"Alternatives" sounded *great*. Also I've been struggling
with type II diab. since 1984 and heart disease since 1985.
Thus I've wanted to do every- thing possible to improve my
health - the allopathic doctors (by and large) don't seem
to want me/us to stay healthy. This info from Williams was
a letter he received from one of his subscribers. It says
this man's brother-in- law has diabetes and was on
*insulin* for 2 years. A nurse told this guy he ought to
take POWDERED MUSTARD - using a level teaspoon of it in a
glass of water 3 times per day. The fellow DID that and his
sugar level (tests) got lower and lower. His glucose test
result dropped about 50% in only ONE day - and got much
lower still. He needed to reduce his insulin intake
drastically, and is now (then) off insuling and has
    "perfect" blood glucose levels now!

So I told the wife "What the heck - I'm gonna get some
powdered mustard and try it" - 'cuz who ever heard of anyone
dying from ingesting mustard anyway? We got home and I took
a teaspoon of mustard powder in some water. I failed to use
enought water and it was TOO hot. So in less than 10 minutes
I did a blood sugar test, which gave a result of 85! I was
astounded ! So I hogged-up a pretty big supper, and then
took another blood sugar test, which result was only 120
(!!!) that was about 45 minutes after taking the mustard.
The followin morning my sugar was "127".

I bought 4 big bean burritos while on the way home from work
and (like a fool) I ate 2 of them in the truck. Thinking my
sugar would be WAY up, I tested and it was only "150" - this
was so even though I'd "eaten everything in sight" at work
that day. I've been using 4 to 5 doses of mustard powder in
water each day for 4 days now - and everything seems okay so
far. This mornings sugar was "132" due to the fact I had pigged-
    out yesterday.

Dr. Williams also states that SARDINES is a wnderful food
(and he oughta know!) and (in his estimation) has super
life-extension properties. He says that the oldest man
who (is strongly suspected) to have lived recently was a
"Charlie Smith" who was a slave inthe U.S. who lived to
(about 130) years. His eating habits included "lots of
sardines" with crackers. You better believe I'meating
    sardines now too!

If I were to take mustard powder in a glass of water, I'm
sure it would make me sick enough not to want to eat a thing
for several days. I really hate the taste of mustard. That
in itself should make my BG lower. But with my luck, going
without eating would only make me have a liver dump and have
higher BG. You are boasting about your numbers and yet a
fasting of 132 and a reading of 150 at two hours after
eating are nothing to boast about. Those numbers are too
high. If you think they're okay, I shudder to think of what
your numbers were before you ate the mustard.

I find sardines to be disgusting as well. But I know they
do make some packed in mustard so that ought to do really
    well for you.

My BGs are excellent - and you may have something here! I
regularly eat hot English Mustard, and sardines. They are
both good foods in limited quantities.

Of course I also don't eat lots of starch, I use careful
portion control, I know very well what foods will raise my
BGs because I test a lot, and I lost lots of weight and do a
    little exercise.

But I realise now it was really the mustard and sardines,
thanks so much for letting me know. Now I can go back to the
potatoes, and bread rolls, and pizza and.......as long as I
put mustard on them? Or should I puree the sardines into the
    mashed potato?

If you are genuinely a diabetic, read here a little while,
you may learn something more than you will from your

  7. Well, the mustard POWDER is what Dr. Williams newsletter
stated helped one guy. IN fact it was this guy's brother in
law who wrote in to Dr. Williams. Williams' glowing comments
about the sardines in the same issue of Alternatives was
because he felt there IS some relationship between achieving
"longevity" and eating foods (such as sardines, chlorella or
blue green algae) that contained many beneficial nutrients.
Williams had mentioned sardines were high in "nucleotides".

It appears my sudden drop in BG may not be as great as it
had been the first day. By the by, I got some snotty remarks
about my "Mustard" posting, and at least one that assumes
    I'm a babe-in-woods concerning diabetes. One be e-mail was
quite beligerant and obscene too. Nobody HAS to agree with
what I wrote - I just reported what I learned - NOT what the
    rank-and-file wanna read.

  8. Okay, I'll have to try your hot chilli treatment too.

This semi-burning seasoning treatment method makes me
suspect there may be some link between "parasites" in humans
    and diabetes II.

I have read that in the case of cardiovascular disease that
it has long been suspected that *bacteria* (infections) ARE
the primary cause of ALL arterial plaque, and that very
*beneficial* results have been obtained by treating heart
patients with antibiotics. I even read that SOME doctors
routinely treat their heart disease patients with
antibiotics, on the presumption this will improve there
    chances for survival greatly.

Of course, there is EDTA chelation therapy too, which is
well known to be3 of benefit to arterosclerosis patients.
Probably this is (in part) because the EDTA has such a
strong antibacterial effect - its used as a food
preservative quite routinely. ONe on-line info page stated
that the type of bacteria that caused arterial plaque (for
example) was almost always the same variety. As of now I
think that may have been chalmidia (spelling wrong) - but
not too sure about that. It was either the "chalmidia" or
the helicobacter pylori (sic) that gives rise to arterial
plaque, I read. "Ozgirl" <[email hidden]> wrote in

Obviously it matters not one wit to me whether anyone else
finds sardines to be inedible - or ghastly to consider
eating. Dr. Williams says there are "good" so I'll eat 'em.

    Quoted message said:

You are boasting about your numbers and yet a fasting of
    132 and a reading

of 150 at two hours after eating are nothing to boast

(no fooling! - I already knew this - it was only a statment,
    not a "boast" at all)

Those numbers are too high. If you think they're okay, I
shudder to think > of what your numbers were before you ate
the mustard. > I find sardines to be disgusting as well.

Well I once read that a woman (on the Internet)
commented she could not bring hersof to do any "power
walking" because she hated to perspire. The sad thing
is that getting a lot of daily exercise (prespiring
too) is great for everyones' health - and in fact is
crucially important. So because she "hated" to
perspire she undoubtedly harmed her health by
    refusing to exercise vigorously.

My feeling about that was "Okay"

    Quoted message said:

But I know they do make some > packed in mustard so >that

Apparently the mustard sauce in sardines (as with the
regular picnic mustard too) is VERY watered-down as
compared to the raw rustard powder. That mustard powder is
HOT stuff - even if you take only 1 level teaspoon in a
    full glass of water.
