Because Matt IS an idiot. Not to mention a doped up reckless loudmouthed idiot. Oh, that's right he quit doping, or at least quit performance enhancing dope. Or, did he finally quit the party dope too and now strops himself up into straightedge hard core self-righteousness by denouncing everyone else.
I've met lots of people like Matt, you'll find them in many walks of life. Talking to them does not make me cream shorts.

His web page has been immature and ineffectual. Maybe he recognizes that now. He's been RIGHT about a lot of things and surrounded it with so much egotistical, name calling, self-centered [censored] that he's been unpersuasive and crazy. Merely being associated with the same ideas has gotten others painted with the same broad brush. He's damaged the anti-doping fight more than he's helped it.
If you want to cream your bike shorts over him, feel free. It doesn't mean he's been helpful or productive. In the link cited earlier in the thread, DeCanio mentions something about repairing his relationship with the bicycling community. That suggests that HE is now aware of the problem. It's been pretty obvious to those of us with clean shorts for a while.

Personally, I prefer Valrhona chocolate, at least at the moment. I recently had a 500g bar of 61% dark (not all at one sitting, though that was tough) and it was pretty incredible. It's something to look forward to during the workday.
