^ ha! 😄 We're all getting that old

    Yeah, great site, isn't it!

There might be more stuff like that on http://www.classicrendezvous.com/ and http://www.sheldonbrown.com/retroraleighs/

I have a 531c 1988 Raleigh, but I hardly ever ride it. I was devastated when I found rust inside the BB shell, so I don't like getting it wet :p

Thanks for the link from me too. 🙂

  2. Ok then, if yooz like sexy old bikes, has eveyone seen Ray Dobbins' site? His site has a few hundred very good pics of 22 different bikes

    Oh......my..............lord!! 🙂

Thanks, I'll check them out. Just what I was looking for!

If you haven't already done so, try a search for "cyclomondo" on ebay.au. He has some Raleigh decals.

    Mmmmmm.....gives me wood.... 😄

  5. Whoa, that Bottecchia with pantographed Corsa Record and the Colnago. I almost ordered the red with white decals Colnago when they came on the market this year. Just because...

  6. I know, they're amazing. The last time I posted Dobbins' site on a forum, a couple of guys said something like: "thanks -- I've just wasted an hour looking at that guy's bikes"

    🙂

I just wasted 3 hours working when I could have spent the time far more productively drooling over Dobbin's bikes.
That situation is now being rectified. 🙂 🙂

Gold plating and white leather handlebar covers on the CIOCC.....just a smidgen OTT, but nice.

  8. I own the same Bottechia with slightly less panto and backfill. I replaced the OEM saddle with a plain white Rolls and stashed the original in the box. I used the Delta brakes and SGR pedals. Yes, it was a bit on the weighty side. I raced it for a couple of seasons and it's a bit on the twitchy side...very quick off center. Definitely a good crit dog, but it never was a good stage racer IMO

The Gardin in the photo was actually built by Battaglin is a far superior day-to-day racer, at least for me it was.

Time to clean up your trailer I think. 😄
