  1. ....I ran a race. It was quite difficult. I failed to run as well as I
though I would. I'd like to [censored] like a girlie on rec.running and find
10,000 implausible excuses for my poor performance. Can you help?

Nothing poor about my performance, so no excuses necessary.

I really don't have any complaints about running sub 3 on my first try.

But you're right, it was quite difficult.

    Nice try though,

i'd like to help you and i started to do just that but my keyboard seems to
    be sticking a bit..at least the "e" key...it happens when it's humid
although sometimes when it's humid its just fine. also the mouse thingy
seems to be sticking today when i need it most...it had been working fine
during the entire period leading up to the actual answering of this post...i
had actually been keeping all my "friends" on my computer support newsgroup
apprised of all the great test posts i had been making. i cant believe how
bad this post has turned out though even though everything was going
according to the text books up til now.

I don't have or need any excuses.
I never intended on racing NY, especially with the warm (at least for me)
    conditions.
I ran a Boston qualifying time three weeks ago, this was for the "NY
    experience".
My major goal was to get back to the hotel to do tourist stuff with the
    family.
Personally I found the experience lacking and probably wouldn't do it again.
I had no expectations so I have no wounds to lick.

I tried to help him, but my PC is low on carbs, and keeps crashing after 24
    minutes.

  9. Joggers and failure go hand in hand, like twisters and trailer parks.
