  1. He admits he was a client of Fuentes and pays a million euros. Is the prosecutor desperate? If that is the prosecutor's first offer it makes you wonder what Ullrich could negotiate down to.

Maybe he should take the deal and then come out with a bogus public statement like Basso's. He only planned on doping. 😉

Deal was offered months ago (last year, I think August or something). German media repoorted about it at that time. So no news, no new deal. Nothing interesting. Focus and other media still sell copies with the name Ullrich, that's all.

Edit: The state prosecution is desperate, the case is not about doping itself: Ullrich is investigated for fraud to TM. Even the law professor (Britta Bannenberg) who started this thing says that the case is dead after the TM systematic doping system came out last year.

  3. Oh god this is boring. Wasn't this posted on another thread? or do you own this forum or something? ass wipe. Can we talk about something other than your fantasies of Armstrong and Ullrich? like racing.

Hard to see how the case could have ever been prosecuted given the circumstances that you have outlined.

Ullrich is correct to stay quiet and to keep his powder dry.

What are you doing with ASO, Mellow Johnny?...I mean ad9898??

And I realise your play on Ash's middle initial and ASO, but it is a bit disrespectful to her, don't you think? Her real middle name is "Fuller". Fuller pencilpecker.

I'm clean. I'm worse when I'm on the gear.

  11. Ullrich's fine ends German fraud enquiry

BONN, Germany (AP) -- German prosecutors have dropped a fraud investigation against former Tour de France winner Jan Ullrich in return for a fine.
The deal announced Monday ends a 21-month investigation into whether the retired rider defrauded his T-Mobile team by taking performance-enhancing drugs, thus increasing his income by illegal means.

The investigation by the Bonn district attorney came after a private complaint.

Monday's decision does not absolve Ullrich of doping, something he always has denied.

Prosecutors said the investigation forced Ullrich to end his riding career and led to massive loss of income, while badly damaging his reputation.

The prosecutors said Ullrich agreed to a six-figure payment, but did not disclose the exact amount.

Ullrich, who won the Tour de France in 1997, retired 14 months ago after being linked to the Spanish doping scandal known as Operation Puerto.

The prosecutors said doping appeared to be so widespread at the time that inhibitions against taking drugs had diminished.

  12. CH: This is the deal I was referring to last week. I hear he is relieved with the outcome.

  13. So now that the criminal investigation is finally closed, is he going to do a real interview?

He needs cash. So book first then interview/talk show circuit then public speaking engagements...... my sources tell me the book is complete & was waiting for this to be able to publish......

You know more than I. I only know of the threat of a book but nothing done about it.

??? He needs cash? That doesn't gel with information from friends of his with whom I've communicated. I was wondering the same thing, but was told by reliable sources that he is sitting on a nice enough nest egg with sources of income.

Of course, if there is money to be made with a book, even wealthy folk are going to publish it. And it's not like his future cycling career is likely to bring in any big bucks. But can you qualify the statement "He needs cash"? It implies that he is financially struggling.

Cranky you are off the mark here..... ad9898 is my only name on this forum

Well that makes sense. You wouldn't corrupt her middle initial come to think of it.

post edit - well I have to correct myself Mr. Gunderson... 😎 :p . On further review of your unusually coincidental and idiosynchratic tandem posts today... the evidence of ASO = AD9898 is overwhelming... 😄
