  1. Hello everyone,

I am going to have my '93 De Rosa road frame refinished, and getting
frame decals seems to becoming a problem.

Short of sending it to Italy from Northern California for refinishing,
are there any decal sources for frame refinishers? I am using a local
painter that a local, well known (here) frame builder here uses (Rex
    bicycle frames).

I need not only the De Rosa set, but the SLX Columbus tubing decal up
at the top of the seat tube.

    Any help is appreciated,

    Dennis

You could ask on forum at www.derosanews.com

I'm pretty sure Cyclart does decals:

That's expensive! The going rate for a top quality baked enamel respray
in the UK is about 75UKP (say $145). Maybe we're not "Rip-Off Britain"
    after all...

  5. Yes, I did find CycleArt...but I think their decal work is for their
paint jobs... i.e. in-house only. I'm not intending to use CycleArt...a
mite expensive for me, not to mention the shipping on top of that.

Another mentioned the DeRosa website. I learned that the front head
tube logo isn't (originally) a decal at all, but sprayed directly on.
DeRosa will also apparently paint the bike...but getting it their and
back is of course another story as I mentioned.

Thanks all for the input...keep it coming...🙂

Dennis, Call SSS, Inc. at 336-982-4135. They're in North Carolina.
They make all of Trek and LeMond decals. They won't sell them to you
direct, but if they have what you want they'll sell them to your
painter. That's what I did. They have loads of obscure and out-of-date
    decals.

    Good luck!

Does your local frame shop deal with sssink.com ?? If not, then they
should contact sssink to see if they have reproductions available.
Cyclart will only provide decals for their own repaints.

I am having a bike repained with sssink decals right now. If you go
this route, your bike will be instantly recognizable as a repaint
because the decal technology will be different from the original
(e.g. clear vinyl for everything, not real transfers as you have
indicated the DeRosa head tube heart hieroglyph is made from ...)
