The Dunwich Dynamo, an annual nocturnal ride from London Town to Dunwich, on the Suffolk coast, Sir.
I believe there's a contingent riding from Cambridge too. There has been discussion of the best route across eastern Suffolk on the Cambent (Cambridge Recumbents) list.
Isn't it about time for the annual who's going and what are they riding thread?

I plan to ride it. SON and Solidlights setup on a 1998 Galaxy for me. Won't be doing the 16-17mph another poster promised. :-)
I might be there. Ridiculously over-laden purple Dawes Super Galaxy as usual.
I was there although I don't think I met any other URCers. I did meet a group from ACF (Another Cycling Forum). I started at about 20:45 and with a few others we were constantly overtaking earlier starters for about 2 hours. There were some fairly fast riders there, and I managed to stay with them for the first 40km or so, but had to drop back once we hit the hillier parts. I finished at amost exactly 05:00, and there were already about 20 bikes parked outside the cafe. The time was helped by a friendly tail wind.
Started riding home but there was a constant head wind, much stronger than the night before, and I gave it best after about 90km, catching a train at Sudbury. There was a great atmosphere, but that has been entirely overshadowed by the fatality, which I have only just heard about in another thread on URC. It wasn't being talked about on the beach so the news had not worked its way forward by I left. Absolutely terrible.
