  1. Curious as to what ya'll think about days off the bike and how many before you start to lose current training level. I've been really concentrating on training right for the last three months for an upcoming Century in Las vegas......3 weeks away.

I have to take this weekend off (totaling 4 days). Will this hurt me in any appreciable way?

  2. 4 days off will do you better then no days off. 4 days is not enough to lose fitness.

Agree with zaskar here; no problem with 4 days off. I'd also say to start tapering off your training about a week in advance by cutting back your usual weekly mileage by 1/2 to 2/3's. It's better to go into a Century fully rested and recovered rather than training up to the final day. Good luck and enjoy the event...that's the main thing.
