    Dave's Story
    "A Journey Back to Health"

On December 8th, 1991 I slipped and fell in my own backyard and ruptured the
Patella Tendon in both legs. That set in motion a sequence of events that
    totally changed my life.

I had emergency surgery to reattach the tendons and 8 months of
physio-therapy to learn to walk again. After this, I began to have
increasing difficulty breathing and I was constantly getting respitatory
infections. I was diagnosed as having Asthma and C.O.P.D. (Emphysema). I
couldn't sleep lying down and so, I slept sitting up, in a chair. I had
swollen and ugly bluish-red colored legs that would become ulcerated from
    time to time.

I had smoked heavily for 43 years. In April 1999 I finally quit. Still, I
had great difficulty breathing. The doctors said I only had about 1/3rd of
my lung function. The only thing I knew was that I couldn't walk more than
10 feet before I had to sit down and rest to recover my breath. I was on the
same path that my father had travelled. He relied on medical science to help
him and he lived a life of suffering as an invalid. I decided that I would
    search for a different way.

I found a Wholistic Doctor who was able to show me an alternative path that
offered the hope of regaining my hwalth. She is the founder of the Advanced
Wholistic Centre whose motto is "Education, Not Medication". She has taught
me that healing can only occur from within ourselves. No medicine, herb, or
supplement can cure our ailments, but, our own immune system can heal us. We
are born with a functional immune system to protect us from disease. Over
time our immune system gets broken down by toxic air, water, foods and
medicine, and we can then get sick. By supplementing our diet with "high
quality" supplements, avoiding harmful chemicals, drinking clean water, and
exercising regularly, we can restore our immune system to do its job. Of
course, the wisest course would be to take the necessary steps to maintain
your immune system before you get sick, and avoid the diseases and
    conditions together.

For many years I took numerous high quality natural supplements in an
attempt to restore my immune system. I used CellTech SBGA, NONI Juice,
USANA, Mannatech, Sportron, Strauss and others, all of which are very good
and helped keep me alive, but did not restore my lost breath. I knew that I
    needed something more.

Between February 2002 and February, 2003 I had 12 severe asthma attacks that
required a 911 call to be rushed to hospital to be resusitated. In February
2003 I was admited to hospital and spent 2 weeks there under the care of a
lung specialist and a heart specialist. They released me with the following
prescriptions: Warfarin, Furosenide, Ramipril, Raninidine, Ditiazen,
Pulmicort, Oxeze, Atrovent, Nitroglycerin, Nitrodur, Cardym, Cipro. My
condition was stabilized, by a combination of the medications, supplements
and breathing therapy so that I no longer experienced these severe asthma
attacks, but my breath continued to be laboured and I still couldn't walk
more than 10 feet without having to sit down and rest. Then my wholistic
doctor was contacted by a ginseng company that had developed a method of
processing ginseng into a powerful supplement. The product is called Bing
Han Refined Ginseng Powder. After doing some investigation of this product,
my Wholistic Doctor recommended that I begin taking this product. The
ginseng was quite expensive but its contents replaced all of the supplements
that I was using and so replaced them all with this Bing Han Refined Ginseng
(Panax) Powder. I began taking this pure Panax Ginseng, in the middle of
    May, this year.

Over the next 3 months the ginseng began to dramatically change things for
me. My blood pressure went from 180/105 to 120/78, my glucose level has
moved down from 200 to 160 (100 is normal). My lung function had improved
from 39% to 57% and it is apparent that it is now further improved. The only
medications that I am on now are Furosenide, Ramipril, Ditiazen and
Pulmicort. They are slowly being phased out as my immune system is being
restored. The only thing I did differently was to take the recommended dose
    of this ginseng every day.

In order to clear the loosened junk out of my my lungs, I had to get some
exercise. I had never been a walker or exerciser before and I decided that
in order to get some exercise I must do something, that I enjoyed. I have
always enjoyed golf and I decided that it would be my first level of
exercise. I had been physically inactive for the previous two years and had
lost the energy to venture onto a golf course. After two or three weeks on
the ginseng my energy level was improved enough that I felt strong enough to
go and hit some golf balls. I went to a local driving range and bought 1/2
of a small bucket of balls and hit them. Hit a ball, sit down and rest. Hit
two balls, sit down and rest. So on, and so on. It must have taken 30 or 40
minutes to hit those few balls. But I did it!! I returned the next day and
repeated the exercise. And the next. and the next. By the third week in
June, I felt energetic enough to play a round of golf. I bought a membership
at a 9 hole executive golf course of a medium length and began to play. They
graciously afforded me special consideration to drive a power cart on the
fairways and near the greens. At this point I could still not walk much
farther than a trip around the golf cart. The entire staff now knows me by
name and, I think, in the beginning, were worried that I might keel over on
the course one day. Over the next 3 months, they witnessed my strength and
breath improve. I now play nine holes without any difficulty at all. I drive
the ball over 200 yards and shoot in the low 40's.

My family doctor knows that I am taking this ginseng powder. He is
witnessing the incredible results. Since I started taking this ginseng in
May my blood tests show a 40% improvement in my hyperinsulinemia, my blood
pressure has dropped to 120/78, my Pulmonary Function Test indicates that my
overall lung function is improving. But, most importantly, I can walk!!! I
have lost that terrifying fear that gripped me!!!

Our plan is to schedule another Pulmonary Function Test in December to
document the progress in the healing of my lungs. Also we are going to do a
Nuclear Medicine Imaging of my heart to determine its condition. The results
    will be announced here.

I don't see anywhere in his story of where he is flogging a product.
But it is interesting to note that he has been smoking for 43 years.
If he started at 14 that would make him 57, but then again he might
have started at 7 in which case he would only be 50, but he could have
started as an adult and he might be quite old.
I think its good that he's getting his health together and he should
get a bit of support from people, instead of ridicule and scorn.

Hi Carole, I appreciate your civilized perspective. I started smoking at
the age of 13 and stopped in 1999. I am 60 years
old and have regained enough health to play golf every day.

Ginseng was the thing that was my breakthrough for me to begin my recovery.
Dave's Story IS a commercial, not for a product, but for "hope" for those
people who have "incurable" diseases. I also
work with the Advanced Wholistic Centre to teach people that they must
protect their health before they lose it.

As always this is lost on a few "special" people.

And it's very likely that your stopping smoking did far more for your

Suuurre it is. And that's why you sell it through an MLM scheme for
    nearly $300 for a 150 g tin.

Reading comprehension has never been your strong point. Furthermore,
you disappear off here for weeks at a time, taken back to Bedlam no
doubt, and then reappear in the middle of the thread. It shouldn't
really be a surprise to you that you're missing out on things.

Spammin' Dave is flogging an obscenely overpriced brand of ginseng.

If all he was doing was geting his health together, he probably would
get support. But what's he's really doing is:

    1) relentlessly spamming his overpriced ginseng
    2) posting reams of easily-exposed falsehoods
    3) being condescending to large numbers of people, every single
one of whom is smarter and less gullible than he
    4) posting MLM spam for a variety of other products

If you approve of this, fine -- we'll know you're also an ethical
    zero.

What was it that you expected from these morons? Support and love no matter
what he feels is helping him?

Apparently you haven't been lurking here very long, have you? I'll
correct your ignorance about Glowlife Dave. Glowlife Dave has been
selling his Ginseng through his MLM scheme on this and other newsgroups
for several weeks now, occasionally spamming these newsgroups as a means
    of doing so:

    For instance, look at:

    http://www.google.com/groups?selm=IuO4b.1604%24su.146943%40news20.bellglo
    bal.com&output=gplain

    Note the last paragraph:

"If you would like to see me........I speak in greater detail about my
journey back to health at Bing Han Refined Ginseng (Panax) Powder
seminars in Toronto, London and the Waterloo Region. We do a complete
seminar on this fantastic ginseng complete with a blood microscopy
demonstration of the effects of the ginseng on volunteers from the
    audience."

If you go to Glowlife Dave's website, you see, besides "Dave's Story," a
pitch for his Panax Ginseng Powder (at $291.55 for a tin containing 150
g of his powder) and the MLM scheme by which he sells it. Glowlife Dave
has posted "Dave's Story" multiple times to this and other newsgroups to
sell his Ginseng. He has posted long defenses of why he thinks his MLM
scheme is not a pyramid scheme (even though nearly all MLM schemes are
indeed pyramid schemes). He's posted defenses of why he charges so much
for it. He also routinely cruises the Curezone website to sell his
Ginseng because it's a moderated web discussion board and he knows he
won't encounter any voices of skepticism there.

A few of the individuals here who "practice" medicine, are paranoid about
    the
fact that I have brought some healing options to their chatroom. It is truly
    a
threat to them and they try to suppress, disparage and lie about this
    ginseng.
Fortunately they are all well known internet "nutbars" and their views have
    as
little credibility in the world as they deserve. They fear what they don't
    understand.

If they were actually mentally awake they would have recognized that I have
    not
done a commercial for my ginseng since early July. THEY have been doing the
commercials, and I am gratefull for their help.
