Google has for some time been sadly nobbled. Much more and it'll be
basically useless (although it's still good for searching newsgroup
archives).

75% of the hits you get on any topic these days are just references to
other search engines (cr&p like price runner, only usually even less
functional), or generic (and useless) pages.

The 'sponsored links' are even worse (stick in 'fellowship', ask for a
UK search, and typically the top sponsored link will tell you that you
can buy cheap fellowship on Ebay. Yeah, right!).

If you follow the link you were given you'd probably discover there were
no eligible singles within 50 miles of Loch Etchachan, however the
offending website will always respond to a google search of %placename%
with the same rubbish 'yeah, I've got some of that'.

And since I fell off Google during a relocation, put any hill name in
and you will not get sub3000... ever

Some folk are getting in on searches, must be more advanced search
engines :-)

You seem to be on Google - top two entries on a search on "sub3000". But
only 13 pages are found with "site:www.sub3000.plus.com". Perhaps Google
has just started indexing your site.

The probably might be that www.sub3000.com has lots of incoming links,
and therefore Google might think it's important, but all the content is
on www.sub3000.plus.com.

90% of my search engine hits come from Google. (Yahoo's only got into
the top 30 referers this month.)
