My wife and I went out to dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant tonight. We
rode our bikes. She's riding more and more nowadays! Anybody else
dating with bicycles? Wife or unmarried?

dating with bicycles? Wife or unmarried?I do rather like riding the tandem out for a date with my wife. Though
we're having a dreadful time at the moment finding a new sitter since
our last one became unavailable. Of course, it doesn't help that my
work is ruining my weekends at the moment. Huzzah, technology. [1][1] Specifically mobile phones [2] and VPN.

In the beginning there was data. The data was without form and
null, and darkness was upon the face of the console; and the Spirit of
IBM was moving over the face of the market. And DEC said, "Let there
be registers"; and there were registers. And DEC saw that they
carried; and DEC separated the data from the instructions. DEC called
the data Stack, and the instructions they called Code. And there was
evening and there was morning, one interrupt.

With a face like yours, she's better off looking at your ass.
(Not that she'll be able to make the di-STINK-shun.)

dating with bicycles? Wife or unmarried? With our youngest finally old enough to be left alone, my wife and I are
back doing what we did before marriage -- cycle dating. I don't think
there's anything nicer than a summer evening's ride. Today, Father's
Day, the plan is for the four of us to do a 20 mile ride along the river
, stopping for lunch at the midpoint (downtown). -

Folsom, you should take up writing as a career. You have such a vivid
imagination, and the ability to imitate the sytle and thinking of an idiot.
However, I wonder how versatile you are. Can you write intelligent material
also? -

I wonder- have you ever considered the possibility that your low
opinion of half the human race is a reflection on you more than on
them? You seem to have a difficult time finding women that are
interested in *you* for anything other than the material things you can
buy for them. Maybe you should consider celibacy. From what you write
it would seem likely that you already have a good start down that road.Regards,

Bob, I'll bet you're one of those guys who has a fat, ugly wife and is
really defensive about it. Look, pal, if you want to settle for a fat,
ugly wife, that's your business, but I don't, OK? -

: dating with bicycles? Wife or unmarried? Not really. My husband and I *live* on our bicycles. We brought
up two children with about 15 bicycles and no car.Now that they have their own families we do most of our riding on
one of our two tandems, although we both still ride solo as well. We're retired now, but we both bike-commuted to work for many years.
We do almost all shopping by bike, get to restaurants and
entertainment events by bike, ride for pleasure...

sale at a bike flea market, and IMHO this is hilarious.)Wish I'd bought it.

So, the pope dies and goes to heaven. He asks St. Peter if he could read the
original Bible, as God wrote it. St. Peter leads him to a room with
perfectly preserved scrolls. The pope starts to read. Suddenly he turns red,
jumps up and yells "It's a typo! It says CELEBRATE, not celibate!"Whereupon he dies, and is reincarnated as a rabbit.

That's what this was, but now it's vintage. And I didn't get one when
they were new in the stores.Told sis (non-rider) about it. "So???" (Her claim to fame: she joined
the medical staff of U-C Davis Berkeley shortly after their famous
patient healed up, leaving lots of signed posters for their walls. So
she knows who GLM is.)Told bike club about it. They all fell over laughing. No explanation
needed.HTH
