I hate to be a conspiracy theorist but...

If Danielson makes the podium I will wait for the doping allegations to fly. I really think that this sucks too, because he seems like a clean rider and a hard worker! He only has one major strike against him as far as the cycling world is concerned! yep, you all guessed right he's AMERICAN. 😕 Cycling isn't an American sport we should stick to baseball, basketball and football. Let us meathead americans beat each other or hit balls with sticks. While the refined, arrodite, educated folk of the globe excel in cycling, soccer, chess, cricket, lawn tennis or any other game that non-Americans view as refined and intellectual. Screw that guys AMERICANS ARE SOME OF THE GREATEST CYCLISTS LIVE WITH IT AND STOP THE INSANITY!

Well, in contention we have:

Vino-------------Saiz/Liberty/Puerto dope connection
Valverde---------Kelme/(Puerto possibly) dope connection

Kashechkin-------Saiz/Liberty/Puerto dope connection

So pretty much whoever wins is going to take some heat, if not the entire top 10.

I didn't see the stage today (I haven't seen any stage of this years Vuelta. Protest).

I'd like to take this opportunity to do my best musette impersonation:
Danielson only won the stage because Vinokourov let him. Thus the stage win doesn't count. He was only allowed in the breakaway because he was so far down on GC. The real winner was Lance.

it's a good win... he wasn't gifted the stage he earned it by working with Vino and helping him take the leader's jersey... scratch my back and i'll scratch yours... everyones happy... c'mon Vino and Danielson in a staight up sprint... Danielson doen't have a snowballs chance in hell... who know what would have happened though if he didn't wait for Vino..

think Vino has this thing locked up now... Valverde really messed up today... don't think he'll be able to do it... the astana boys are really working good together... Kash's attack and Valverde's counter put Valverde in the red zone really set Valverde up for the big fall... even if Valverde makes up the 9 sec over even a little bit more (can see Valverde gapping Vino at the finish) Vino should be able to bring it back in the final TT

Well at least he's being honest about the sprint. A nice feather for his cap (a backwards baseball cap that is).

The smile on Vino's face when accepting the gold jersey!! He's really keen on winning this thing.

I do feel sorry for Valverde though. He's one of the 3 strongest riders in the race - the problem being that the other 2 ride for Astana. So in order to win the race he has to have a better day each day than both of the Astana guys.

And as was clear yesterday, he had the legs on Kash probably, but not on Vino.

Couldn't understand Marchante's tactics. He's obviously not that ambitious.

For Valverde to win this I think he needs to just Andrey go up the road and minimize his gains, because if he chases him down, then all that will happen is Vino jumps over the top. Valverde needs to just follow Vino, because Valverde can outsprint him any day. Maybe take a bonus ahead of Vino, and pull even, and just hope that he can ride the TT of his life. The TT is a shorter one, being only 28 Km.

Whats fitting its this Saturday is the last stage for competition in the VUelta, since Sunday is usually a ceremony. Well Saturday is Vino's 33rd Birthday (If i remember right). Not a bad possible B-Day Present I would say.
