I mentioned a dumped bike a little while back. I'd not got round to reporting it to the police. I had gone to get the serial, but it was caked in muck. So just hadn't got round to it. Anyway, I did bring it into the same confines of our secure underground car park. Well, saefeish. One of the other residents has decided that both wheels needed hammering to bits and vandalised it to the point of no return. I think they left the frame alone. Anyway, from a bike that just needed a saddle, it's gone to a complete mess.
So, belatedly, I've been to the cop shop to get advice and am returning in an hour or so with serial etc. Unfortunately I am not able to report it as vandalised, because it's not mine. But I really want the person who did it, to think about their actions. I think I know who it is, but no proof. But there's only one [censored] in the block who has a (seemingly) paricularly low IQ that I think would do something like that.

And I really want my cat, Felix, to learn to play a decent game of chess. It's about as likely to happen.

Funnily enough, I was thinking cat/dog poo on their car .. thought about my own, but DNA and all that ...
That's not making him think - that's just revenge. The proper way to do it would be to get a JCB and make a good old job of his car wheels. Better be sure you've got the right man though, and it's also quite difficult to be stealthy with a JCB in an underground car park. Disclaimer: the management does not condone criminal acts of any kind.

True, I was honestly thinking of leaving a note on it saying that it had already been reported and now criminal damage has been reported seperately.
But I think I'll just see if the police find the owner. Out of interest, anyone know where Kingston-on-Thames police auction off the found bikes? The officer I spoke to didn't give the impression anyone ever gets their bikes back.
