I'm into my 6th week of an 'almost' low carb diet. I eat a small
portion of rice, couscous, or potato, with my evening meal and a small
bowl or cereal for breakfast. I didn't weigh myself before I started
so don't really know if I have lost weight but have noticed that I
don't quite look like I'm stuffed into my clothes as I did a few weeks
back. My biggest change in diet is cutting out soda and switching to
water and no snacks or candy. I'm feeling good about myself if
nothing else but that I've been disciplined which makes me feel very
virtuous and rather pleased with myself as I've never done this
before. What I don't know is how many calories an adult should eat
per a day. I don't exercise except for housework and chores and spend
the largest part of my work day at my desk. I'm female and 5'2".
How many calories a day should I be eating to lose weight slowly over
a long time?
Thanks for any help.
