the bar of soap in the shower has sand grit embedded in it from showering after last nights ride.

Call it an "exfoliating cleansing bar". Pretend you paid $15.00 for it at the Clinique counter.

Me, I'm partial to the black grease I just can't quite get out of my skin from doing bike
maintenance. Drivetrain cleaning and broken spoke replacement last night.

How about being lost on a new trail during a heavy thunder storm and trying to find your way out,
slipping in a rut at the top of a long climb, lying on your back still clipped into your pedals,
lightening flashing all around, and realizing you're having a blast.

It helps to keep a scrub brush in the shower.

I work as a chemist for a cleaning products company. We have more heavy-duty hand cleaners than you
can shake a stick at. Given that, and the toothbrush I keep in the shower [for just such and
occasion], I still can't get all the grease out of my skin. Not that I'd want to, anyway.

WTF is "exfoliating" anyway? does it not suffice to get the dirt off, but you have to get the
skin off too?

Maybe I should market my PIS (Pube Imbedded Soap) bars too. Great for exfoliating.
