Does anybody out there have any knowledge of 1999 vintage Dura Ace rear hubs. I want to overhaul the freehub. I've removed the cassette and axle and it looks to me like you need some kind of splined tool to remove the free hub from the rest of the hub, but I can't really tell. Can anybody help.

Thanks Dave. I had looked at that Park Tool site. It refers to loosening a hex nut that holds the freehub to the rest of the hub. I don't see any hex nut inside my freehub, so I think that the Park Tool site must be referring to a newer model of DA freehub.

It looks like splines but they line up with the edges of a hex wrench. 10 mm I think.
You're both correct. It looks like splines, but when I tried a 10mm hex it fit perfectly and the bolt came out with no problems. It was really easy to flush the hub with solvent, dry it out with compressed air and then relube. Thanks for your help.
